Expedition Trainer - Black

Made on a traditional American running shoe last, the Expedition Trainer is an original design built to be worn, not preserved — every material chosen to improve with wear, not wear out.

Upper — Distressed cowhide leather with rough-out suede paneling. The side panel and floating mustache are white lambskin under a black top coat that wears to reveal the leather beneath, so no two pairs age alike.

Tongue — American-made waxed canvas by Fairfield Textiles: durable, water-resistant, and prone to a beautiful leather-like patina, like a good waxed jacket.

Sole & heel — A hiking-grade Italian rubber heel counter guards the upper-to-sole junction, over a Vibram Maxim outsole — dense PU midsole, deep-lugged XS-Trek rubber — for real grip and long-term wear.

Removable Lace cover / mini wallet — A removable lace cover in distressed off-black leather and grosgrain, with a reversible snap closure. Threads onto the waxed laces and doubles as a slim wallet for cards or cash.

A black and off-white shoe that resists looking new — and only gets better the more it's worn.
