Founded in 2019 in LA's Arts District, Goods & Services reinvents traditional shoe repair and shoemaking for today's consumer. We merge craftsmanship with modern design, revitalizing shoemaking through innovation and sustainability. Our creations appeal to both sneakerheads and classic leather shoe enthusiasts alike.
REPAIR:
We can resole any sneaker or leather shoe using traditional shoemaking techniques.
CUSTOM:
Transform your footwear into one-of-a-kind pieces with new soles, leather selection, welts, etc.
DESIGN:
Our original designs are created from scratch in our workshop located in the Arts District of downtown Los Angeles, CA and are either made to order or crafted locally at our partner factory down the street.
VISION
By extending the life of your footwear through repair and re-design, we reduce waste while recognizing both individuality and craftsmanship. Each resole enables your footwear to be resoled continuously over time.
Our workshop embodies an “open kitchen” concept in which you can observe each made to order creation which reveals the intricate details of handcrafted shoe making, repair, and re-design.
We represent a type of new business model—one that values experiences over mere products, embraces sustainability, and champions personal expression in every pair of shoes that passes through our space.
DESIGN PROCESS
Our original styles are crafted through hands-on artisanship in our workshop, where tangible materials and traditional machinery replace digital design.
Each prototype comes directly from our shop which allows us to maintain a connection to the craft. This approach guides many of our creative decisions, as the physical process creates unexpected inspiration.
Many of our most innovative ideas arise organically during the cutting and stitching process, as each style begins to take form in real time.
From there we partner with LalaLand factory down the street from us for final production.
